Hi, I’m Brittney—birth doula, childbirth educator, placenta encapsulation specialist… mom of four in a beautifully blended family, lover of Jesus and leopard print.
I’m part of a beautifully blended family with four amazing kids, a dog, and three cats. I’m married to a CrossFit gym owner, and when I’m not supporting births, I’m probably outside in my garden, running trails, hiking in the mountains, or organizing a CrossFit event. I grew up on a big farm in Ontario, and I’ve always loved horses, nature, and the grounded pace of country life.
I used to run ultramarathons, but these days my running has become more limited... for now.
Also—my husband and I love our coffee. Morning coffee dates, afternoon espresso, road trip brews—coffee is our love language.
My journey into birth work is rooted in redemption. After surviving leukemia in 2010—and being told I might never conceive—I became a mom to two miracle boys. My first birth was a supported cesarean due to breech. My second? A redemptive, powerful home water birth (HBAC) that changed my life—it healed something deep in me and gave me the fire to help others reclaim confidence in their own bodies. That transformation is what drives my passion for VBAC support and physiological birth.
In 2022, I broke my back in a ski accident and missed a severed spinal cord by just one centimeter. That brush with permanent paralysis deepened my gratitude for this work. I am here—literally standing—because of God’s mercy, and I believe my purpose is to walk with women through their most vulnerable, powerful moments and remind them they are not alone.
Credentials & Experience
I believe God writes the best stories—sometimes with pain, but always with purpose. I want every woman I serve to feel informed, supported, and deeply seen. Your birth matters. Your voice matters. Let’s write something beautiful together.
